ateb has recently reached 3,000 homes and we have ambitious development and growth plans over the next 5 years. Structurally we have remained unchanged for several years and we have recognised that investment must be made in key areas, including our Asset Management, Maintenance and Compliance services, to ensure we deliver the required levels of service demand from our customers and changing regulation such as decarbonisation.
As part of this investment we are creating a new Property Team and are pleased to have appointed Antony James as our new Head of Property. Antony has been working at ateb for 12 years leading our in-house Trades Team and our Maintenance and Compliance functions. Prior to joining us, Antony managed contracts and teams delivering a range of mechanical and electrical services to social housing clients throughout South Wales. He ran his own business for ten years and has a mechanical background working in various construction, refurbishment, and maintenance roles.
On accepting the new role Antony said
“I am really pleased to have been given the opportunity to lead the new Property Team with ateb. As well as continuing to provide a great maintenance service and keeping our customers safe in their homes, the new Property Team will deliver our asset management strategy over the coming years, which will present some really exciting opportunities for ateb, our Teams, our customers, our local businesses and the people and communities in West Wales”.
As part of this investment, we are creating several new roles in reactive and planned maintenance, asset management, compliance, and direct labour supervision. We will be starting to recruit over the next few weeks and months, so if you or someone you know wants to develop their career with us, don’t miss out! Follow us on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
