Pembrokeshire County Show: “Can we tell you a little bit about ateb?”

The Pembrokeshire County Show was back with a bang this year, smaller in size but with the same family friendly fun and frollics!

ateb were based in the Community and Learning Zone and welcomed hundreds of visitors during the two day event. The team included Angela and Shirley from our Housing Solutions Team, Cheryl our Save Energy, Save Money Project Officer, Andrew our Community Welfare Coordinator, Karen from our Independent Living Team and Tom from People and Communications.

The team chatted about lots of things, from who are ateb, what kind of housing do we provide, how does the allocation of properties work, and even how to save electricity. Nothing was too much trouble and we were delighted to meet so many friendly faces.

Karen, one of ateb’s Independent Living Team, said:

“It’s been so lovely to meet so many people from across West Wales. ateb has a great range of independent living homes so it was nice to show people their options (on our website), explain what kind of support we can offer and how to apply for an ateb home.”

This was the first show since Covid restrictions were introduced in 2020, and visitors were treated to a wide range of entertainment, including live music, a food court, livestock classes, show jumping, horticulture and the new Country Market area showcasing over 40 quality local and award winning product and craft stalls.

Thank you to everyone who stopped to meet the ateb team, have a cupcake, chat, and play a little Jenga. We are already planning and looking forward to next year.
