ateb, in collaboration with Hale Construction, is thrilled to announce that its development in Isambard Gardens in Neyland has been honoured with the prestigious ‘Best Large Social Housing Development’ award by the LABC Building Excellence Awards for the region of Wales, marking their second consecutive win in this category.
This achievement follows previous success at Three Meadows, Haverfordwest, demonstrating our commitment to high standards of social housing development.
Isambard Gardens, located in Neyland, is a thriving community that offers a mix of homes and flats, designed to provide comfortable and sustainable living spaces.
The site was brought to life by Hale Construction. The project encompassed the design and construction of 33 dwellings across three phases, including one-bed flats, bungalows, and two, three, and four-bedroom homes.
The development also integrated essential features such as car parking, landscaping, living wall retaining structures, drainage, and associated engineering highways works. Constructed using pre-insulated timber frame techniques, the properties boast the advantages of offsite MMC (Modern Methods of Construction) and feature photovoltaic roofs made from reconstituted slate, highlighting a commitment to sustainability and innovation.
Jonathan Cole ateb’s Land Manager who was heavily involved in the delivery of the development expressed his pride in the achievement, commenting “We are incredibly proud of the recognition Isambard Gardens has received. This achievement is a testament to our team’s hard work, dedication, and passion for creating outstanding homes for our customers. We are deeply grateful to everyone involved in this project.“
All regional winners qualify for the Grand Final which will take place on Friday 19 January 2024.
