ateb Group has partnered with Jewson Partnership Solutions (JPS) to open a brand new, dedicated stores premises in the heart of Haverfordwest. This new facility will streamline the process of stocking essential materials, enabling ateb’s teams to quickly repair and maintain homes across West Wales.
The new store will provide a centralised location for our teams to collect vital supplies, making the process of sourcing materials faster and more efficient, helping us improve repair times for our customers.
In the past, our teams would need to visit multiple suppliers or wait for delivery times for specialist items. Now, thanks to this new partnership with Jewson’s, our vans can be fully stocked with the day-to-day materials required to maintain our housing stock – significantly reducing downtime and making our services more responsive.
Allyn Pritchard, Energy and Planned Services Manager at ateb, shared his enthusiasm about the new partnership, saying: “We are delighted with the launch of our new ateb dedicated stores. This new way of working will transform the way we deliver our services to our customers, improving our operations, and represents excellent value for money.”
Jewson Partnership Solutions (JPS) Andy Wallace added “I am delighted to welcome ateb Group to the Jewson Partnership Solutions Family. With similar sites all over the UK, our aim is to create relationships that deliver efficiency, innovation, and value to organisations like ateb.”
ateb and JPS have partnered with the Central Housing Investment Consortium (CHIC) to enhance the efficiency of repairs and maintenance. A key focus of this collaboration has been accurately defining van stock for each trade, ensuring that materials are readily available to complete repairs on the first visit. JPS have been working closely with supply partners like Crossfold for electrical items and PWS for workwear, along with their sister brand George Boyd, whose specialist teams provide expertise in door sets, kitchens, and bathrooms.
The official launch took place on Tuesday 24th September, with team members from ateb visiting the site for tours and demonstrations of the new van stock management app AVAIL. The event was met with excitement and optimism as staff were shown how the system will further enhance the speed and ease of obtaining materials.
Robert Davies, atebs Electrical Supervisor, used the service for the first time on Wednesday and commented “It was great to turn up, get the van loaded in one pit stop and get on the road again. It will absolutely save us time and significantly reduce the time waiting for materials to turn up to complete a job.”
