Investing in our teams

Moving on in your career doesn’t always mean goodbye and several of our team have recently been successful in gaining career development opportunities within ateb.

We feel it is important to support the development of our teams by offering a range of opportunities such as the Women’s Development Programme run by Chwarae Teg together with a range of qualifications such as the ILM and CIPD.  One of these individuals is Rob who has recently been promoted to our Maintenance Supervisor role.

Rob joined us in 2009 as a Kitchen Fitter and when we had some organisational change he took the opportunity to move over into the Maintenance Team taking up the role of Maintenance Operative in 2017. In 2020 Rob was successful in obtaining one of two newly formed Team Leader roles and since then he has been busy working on his ILM qualification which we are supporting him with. 

When the Maintenance Supervisor role became vacant, Rob took the opportunity to apply and was successful! He commented:

“I have always been keen to improve myself and progress my career, so when the opportunity of Maintenance Supervisor became available I jumped at the chance.
