Service Update Following First Minister’s Announcement on Monday 19th October 2020

Following the First Minister’s announcement on Monday 19th October regarding a fire break lockdown, we have reviewed the impact that this will have on the services we provide our customers.

We continue to put our customers at the heart of what we do however we will have to do things a little differently due to these changes which come into force  from 6pm on Friday 23rd October until Monday 9th November. Please see below changes to the delivery of our services during this period which are in line with WG guidance.

Lettings

  • We will continue to advertise and allocate vacant properties however there will be no viewings unless these are virtual
  • There will be no lettings, transfers, or mutual exchanges until after the lockdown period, unless these cannot be delayed e.g. Risk of homelessness

 

Repairs

  • We will continue to work in unoccupied homes
  • Emergency works will continue but non urgent works will be postponed until after the lockdown period

 

Planned Works

  • External planned works will continue; however, all internal planned works will be suspended for the period of lockdown unless in an unoccupied property

 

Compliance

  • Your safety is our priority, therefore all safety and compliance checks will continue

 

Sheltered and Extra Care

  • Hairdressers will close
  • Visits can only take place in line with WG guidelines
